Abstract

Abstract: Environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, deforestation, biodiversity loss, and resource depletion have become major global concerns in the twenty-first century. Education plays a significant role in creating awareness and developing responsible attitudes toward the environment. Sustainable education emphasizes the development of knowledge, skills, values, and behaviors that support environmental protection and sustainable living. Integrating environmental awareness into the school curriculum helps students understand ecological challenges and motivates them to participate actively in environmental conservation. This paper discusses the concept of environmental awareness, sustainable education, the importance of integrating environmental education into school curricula, methods of implementation, challenges faced by educational institutions, and practical recommendations for effective environmental learning.
