Abstract

Abstract: The construction sector plays a vital role in the economic growth and infrastructure development of any country. Nevertheless, construction projects often face problems such as poor craftsmanship, material defects, scheduling delays, cost overruns, and safety hazards. These issues typically stem from insufficient implementation of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) practices. As a result, quality management systems are crucial for ensuring project effectiveness, client satisfaction, and long-term viability. This review paper provides an analytical examination of QA and QC frameworks within construction project management. It discusses the concepts, principles, methods, advantages, and difficulties related to QA/QC adoption in construction projects. Additionally, the study reviews existing literature on quality management systems and assesses the impact of QA/QC practices on project performance. The findings conclude that well-implemented QA/QC frameworks significantly boost construction productivity, lower defect rates, minimize project risks, and improve overall project success.
