ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN CYBER DEFENSE SYSTEMS
Abstract
Abstract: The rapid expansion of digital technologies has significantly increased both the complexity and frequency of cyber threats across various sectors. Traditional cybersecurity systems, which rely heavily on predefined rules and signatures, often struggle to keep up with rapidly evolving and sophisticated attack patterns. As a result, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a vital component in strengthening modern cyber defense systems. AI enables automated threat detection by analyzing vast amounts of data in real time and identifying unusual patterns that may indicate potential attacks. It also supports real-time response mechanisms, allowing systems to react quickly and minimize damage. Furthermore, AI enhances anomaly detection by distinguishing between normal and suspicious behavior within networks. Predictive analysis is another key benefit, as AI can forecast potential threats based on historical data and trends. This paper examines the critical role of AI in cybersecurity and its wide range of applications. It also discusses the advantages of AI, including improved accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. In addition, the study addresses challenges such as data privacy concerns, implementation complexity, and adversarial risks. Overall, AI-driven cyber defense systems play a crucial role in improving resilience against cyberattacks and strengthening security infrastructure.
