RECENT ADVANCES IN CANCER CHEMOTHERAPY AND TARGETED THERAPY
Abstract
Cancer treatment has evolved significantly over the past few decades, with advances in chemotherapy and targeted therapy offering improved outcomes and reduced side effects. Traditional chemotherapy, while effective, often causes severe toxicity due to its non-selective mechanism. In contrast, targeted therapies have revolutionized cancer treatment by focusing on specific molecular pathways involved in tumor progression. This paper discusses recent advancements in both chemotherapy and targeted therapy, including novel drug formulations, precision medicine approaches, and combination strategies. The integration of immunotherapy and personalized treatment strategies continues to shape the future of oncology, offering hope for better patient survival and quality of life. Keywords: Cancer, Chemotherapy, Targeted Therapy, Precision Medicine, Immunotherapy, Oncology.
