NANOTECHNOLOGY IN DRUG FORMULATION AND TARGETED DRUG DELIVERY
Abstract
Nanotechnology has revolutionized the pharmaceutical industry by enhancing drug formulation and targeted drug delivery systems. This paper explores the principles of nanotechnology in drug delivery, various nanocarriers, and their applications in modern medicine. The advantages of nanoformulations, including improved bioavailability, reduced toxicity, and controlled drug release, are discussed in detail. Furthermore, the challenges and future prospects of nanotechnology in drug delivery are examined to highlight its potential for improving therapeutic outcomes. Keywords: Nanotechnology, Drug Formulation, Targeted Drug Delivery, Nanocarriers, Bioavailability, Controlled Release.
