PHARMACEUTICAL SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT: CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS
Abstract
The pharmaceutical supply chain is a complex and highly regulated network that ensures the efficient flow of medicines from manufacturers to end consumers. Managing this supply chain presents significant challenges, including regulatory compliance, demand fluctuations, counterfeit drug threats, temperature-sensitive logistics, and disruptions due to global crises. This study explores key issues affecting pharmaceutical supply chain management and proposes innovative solutions such as digitalization, blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, and robust risk management strategies. By implementing these solutions, the pharmaceutical industry can enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve patient outcomes. Keywords: Pharmaceutical supply chain, logistics, regulatory compliance, counterfeit drugs, digitalization, blockchain, artificial intelligence, risk management, supply chain disruptions, temperature-sensitive logistics.
