THE IMPACT OF EMPTY NEST SYNDROME ON DIETARY PATTERNS OF EMPTY NESTERS
Abstract
Empty Nest Syndrome (ENS) is a psychological condition affecting parents when their children leave home, leading to emotional distress and lifestyle changes. This paper explores how ENS influences dietary patterns, highlighting shifts in meal consumption, nutritional choices, and overall health. The study employs qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze dietary modifications due to emotional and social changes. Findings suggest that ENS contributes to irregular eating habits, nutritional deficiencies, and changes in food preferences, necessitating targeted interventions for healthier aging.
