A REVIEW ON THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ORGANIC-BASED ADMIXED INHIBITORS IN MULTI-EXPOSURE ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
This comprehensive review examines the effectiveness of organic-based admixed inhibitors in multi-exposure environments, focusing on their application in reinforced concrete structures. The study analyzes various organic inhibitors, their mechanisms of action, and their performance in different exposure conditions. Through a systematic review of literature and meta-analysis of experimental data, this paper provides insights into the most effective organic inhibitors for corrosion protection in diverse environmental conditions. The findings reveal that certain amino alcohol-based and carboxylate-based inhibitors demonstrate superior performance in multi-exposure environments, offering promising solutions for enhancing the durability of reinforced concrete structures. Keywords: organic inhibitors, corrosion, multi-exposure environment, reinforced concrete, durability.
