RECENT INTELLIGENT TECHNOLOGIES IN SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, HUMANITIES AND MANAGEMENT
Abstract
“Recent Intelligent Technologies in Science, Engineering, Humanities & Management” is one of the currently emerging fields in educational technology. Whilst it has been around thirty years, it is still unclear for educators how to make pedagogical advantage of it on a broader scale and how it can impact meaningful teaching and learning in higher education. With this aim in view, this paper seeks to provide an overview of research on technological application in higher education through a systematic review. Humanities faculties have a reputation for being slow to incorporate technology in the classroom, despite strong encouragement to embrace new digitized ways of teaching subjects such as language, history, social studies and literature – Technology helps put the purpose of humanities into practice. One way to prepare students to think about how humanity interacts with their world in a time of rapid technological advancement is to integrate classical learning with modern tools. So, digitization is the definition practice that bridges science and technology with the humanities, either intangible or in intangible forms. Advances in recent intelligence and its successful application in core technical domains bring new possibilities to support humanities research in particularly demanding and challenging tasks.
