Abstract

Abstract - This Review & survey paper present several feasible millimeter wave on-chip antenna designs suitable to be fabricated in CMOS technology without any additional process. The metallic patch can take many different configurations. But, the circular and rectangular patches are very common because these are easy to fabricate, these can be easily analyzed and their radiation characteristics is attractive. The results are listed and compared with state-of-the-art designs in the literature. The difficulties in designing high efficiency antenna on CMOS chip are discussed. Keyword On-chip antennas (OCAs), Electromagnetic interference (EMI) Artificial magnetic conductor (AMC)
